Woman, 35, killed and man, 37, fighting for life after horror crash in East Sussex

A WOMAN died and a man is fighting for life after a horror smash.

The 37-year-old man was driving a white Ford Fiesta ST on the A27 near Pevensey, East Sussex, when the car left the road and overturned.


He was rushed to hospital with with life-threatening injuries.

Tragically, the passenger – a 35-year-old woman – couldn't be saved and was declared dead at the scene.

Police are now appealing for information and have launched an investigation.

Sergeant Richard Hobbs from the Surrey and Sussex Roads Policing Unit said: "This is a tragic incident and we are seeking witnesses as to what happened.

"Anyone who saw the white Ford Fiesta being driven from the Stone Cross roundabout towards the Wallsend roundabout moments before the collision at around 7.30pm or who may have captured dash cam footage is urged to call 101 quoting Operation Stark."
