Who are lawyers David Schoen and Bruce Castor and who have they defended?

DONALD Trump's second impeachment trial is set to begin on Tuesday, February 9, in the Senate.

Trump is the only president in US history to be impeached twice by the House of Representatives. He was charged with "incitement of insurrection" in connection with the January 6 attack on the US Capitol.

Who are lawyers David Schoen and Bruce Castor?

David Schoen is an Alabama-based civil rights and criminal defense lawyer.

Schoen has offices in New York and Alabama, and takes cases from all around the country and overseas.

He has over 30 years of experiences in practice, and has "complex litigation experience as lead counsel in trial and appellate courts throughout the country," his website explains.

According to his website, Schoen has represented parties before the United States Supreme Court and has filed amicus briefs before the court as well.

Bruce Castor is a former district attorney in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.

Both will be representing former President Donald Trump at his upcoming impeachment trial, however neither have worked with each other in the past.

It remains unclear who has primacy as the lead lawyer on the team.
