KATE Middleton has been pictured with a bag full of books after a busy visit to Waterstones.
The mum-of-three is said to have asked for for children's books about the military and history during the quick shopping trip, just days after returning from a whirlwind trip around Ireland with husband Prince William.
And the duchess managed to blend into London shopping crowds as she carried the bulging bag of new books from the store.
Wearing a powder blue coat paired with jeans and black flats, the 38-year-old looked effortlessly chic for the surprise outing near her Kensington Palace home.
The new books could very well be for Kate and William's own kids – Prince George, six , Princess Charlotte, four and little Louis, one.
The couple have previously opened up about how they love to read with the little royals, with William, 37, previously revealing they are fans of Julia Donaldson's Room On The Broom.
While on a trip to Wales, the dad told fellow parents: "I read this to our children all the time."
And author Julia seems to be a big hit in the Cambridge household, with William previously gushing over her as she received her CBE for services to literature.
He told her The Gruffalo was a big favourite, saying: "Do you realise how many parents you have saved at bedtime?"
And Kate herself has worked to promote the importance of early childhood experiences, recently launching a survey for parents to discuss the most important issues to them.
And she revealed in a BBC documentary her own kids loved to read Harry Potter – revealing William would "do all the voices" as he read to their children.
The bookshop visit comes after Kate and William returned from their Ireland trip, and ahead of the Commonwealth Day Service at Westminster Abbey they are expected to attend with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.
The event will be the first time the “Fab Four” have been pictured together in months.
But despite reports there could be frostiness between the couples, sources told Sun Online that Meghan who has left baby Archie back home in Canada, is looking forward to the events.
They said: "The last few weeks have done Meghan the power of good.
"She has a real spring in her step and is excited and honoured to be part of so many important events. She is particularly proud to be with Harry tonight at an event she knows means so much to him."
Meanwhile, Meghan and Harry were today pictured heading to church with the Queen as they wrap up their last royal engagements after quitting the Firm.
But while the Sussexes have stepped back, William and Kate have continued their royal and charity work with gusto.
During their tour of Ireland the couple visited a number of social justice and mental health charities.
And in a sweet bit of news, Kate revealed little Charlotte loves dancing.
