The list of suspects behind Jack’s (played by Martin Henderson) shooting is still quite a long one, even if Brady (Benjamin Hollingsworth) was placed in handcuffs and arrested for the crime in the third season finale. Netflix viewers watched as Jack’s cop friend Mike (Marco Grazzini) arrived at Brady’s home with a warrant, only to find the gun supposedly used to shoot the Virgin River bar owner in his car and he quickly had Brady placed under arrest. However, some fans have tipped a shock turn of events in which the tables turn on Mike and Brady, prompting Grazzini to address the theory.
Throughout season three, Virgin River fans were drip-fed clues Brady was the many who pulled the trigger on Jack.
Thanks to a series of flashbacks, Jack finally got some of his memory from the fateful night back and came to the realisation Brady was in his bar at the time.
However, Brady protested his innocence episode after episode and even set himself up an alibi to take him away from the bar at the time of the shooting.
But his boss-turned-foe Calvin (Peter Cubitt) hinted he was the one to throw a spanner in the works as Brady’s alibi somehow fell apart out of the blue.
With so many clues pointing the finger at Brady, it’s safe to say Mike had his mind made up on his former friend.
In fact, Brady and Mike even came to blows in a fistfight in Jack’s bar as they clashed over who shot Jack.
Time and time again, Mike expressed his desire to lock Brady up, telling Jack the sooner he was behind bars the better as well as informing Brady’s new girlfriend Brie (Zibby Allen) she could “do better” when the police raided his home.
But while Virgin River residents may be convinced, it’s safe to say a number of the fandom aren’t so sure.
And they’ve made no secret of their thoughts that perhaps Mike was the one behind the shooting – not Brady.
After all, as soon as the police found the gun in his car, Brady instantly accused Mike and his police pals of planting the weapon.
And taking to Instagram, a Virgin River fan account put forward the theory to stars Hollingsworth and Grazzini, sharing a screengrab of their bar fight with the caption: “I think Mike is the shooter, not Brady.”
Hollingsworth had his eye caught the post as he shared it to his Instagram stories, tagging Grazzini and asking him for his thoughts.

Failing to rule it out, Grazzini responded: “So, possibly the shooter and possibly the baby daddy?
“Mike’s the best best friend you could ask for [laugh emoji],” he added.
With both Virgin River stars refusing to rule out the fan theory, could fans be expecting a major turn of events in a potential fourth season?
Grazzini also referred to the popular fan theory that his character is the true father to Charmaine’s (Lauren Hammersley) twins.
With Charmaine still pregnant heading into season four, she and Jack are at loggerheads about how they’re going to raise their twins.
However, a huge clue in season one, which saw Mike act surprised to hear about the pregnancy, led to many predicting he could be the real father.
So with Grazzini addressing both theories, it seems like the door could well be open for him to not only be the man who pulled the trigger – but the real father to Charmaine’s babies.
Virgin River seasons 1-3 are available to stream on Netflix now.
