Tiger King’s Carole Baskin ‘turns down’ I’m A Celebrity in Wales for US Strictly

Tiger King star Carole Baskin has reportedly turned down I'm A Celebrity after being confirmed as a Dancing With The Stars contestant.

The American big-cat rights activists has reportedly snubbed an offer to appear on the popular ITV reality show, which will be first at Gwrych Castle in North Wales instead of Australia for the first time ever this year.

It is thought that I'm A Celeb bosses had offered Carole, 59, a mega money deal to take park in this year's series.

The Sun reported that show executives were desperate to have one of the stars of Netflix's lockdown hit to be a contestant and let slip the secrets of zoo operator, Joe Exotic.

A source told the publication: "Jungle producers have made a formal approach and hope she will do it."

Carole has been the centre of the attention over the disappearance of the second husband Don Lewis, who Joe has accused her of killing.

Joe is now in jail serving a 22-year term for a plot to kill Carole, who is the CEO of Big Cat Rescue.

Netflix said 64million households globally have watched the documentary series since it came out in March.

It follows big cat owners, breeders and conservationists in the US — with a focus on the feud between Joe and Carole.

However, it was revealed today that the Netflix star has signed up to take part in the US version of Strictly Come Dancing.

This year's star-studded line-up also includes Desperate Housewives hunk Jesse Metcalfe, Selling Sunset's Chrishell Stause, and Nelly, according to People.

I'm A Celeb hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly teased fans about what to expect from the new series.

The Geordie duo appeared on This Morning and revealed it's going to be "completely different" this year as they refused to shut down rumours that Carole is joining the show.

Dec joked: "It's a show that we really look forward to, to go out and spend five weeks in Aus….oh,"

Ant added: "We love I'm A Celebrity.

"The cast changes every year, so it's always a different vibe – you never know what's going to happen.

"This year it's going to be completely different and none of us quite know what it's going to be like.

"I'm very intrigued."
