The Walking Dead dishes the dirt on deleted Eugene sex scene with The Saviours – in the middle of a zombie attack – The Sun

THE Walking Dead’s Eugene isn’t known for his ability to flirt, but nonetheless he was set for a romp of death-defying proportions.

The self-professed nerd, played by Josh McDermitt, was rejected by Rosita (Christian Serratos) earlier in season 10 after declaring his love for her.

However, before that point, during his time with Negan and The Saviours, writers treated Eugene to a truly outrageous romp.

Laura actress Lindsley Register spoke out about the kinky encounter after being killed off on the latest episode of the AMC drama.

Laura was murdered by Beta (Ryan Hurst) during his attack on Alexandria, holding off the brute so that Gamma (Thora Birch) could make an escape and hide in Michonne’s (Danai Gurira) house.

Pouncing on his back, Laura fought bravely, but ultimately she was overwhelmed by the hulking warrior.

Looking back at her time on the show, she recounted some deleted scenes from season 8 episode The Big Scary U.

“I filmed other scenes of her interacting with Rosita and with Eugene that the audience will never get to see – we all shoot stuff that never makes it to the screen,” she told The Independent.

“There were scenes of me and Rosita starting to become friends where she and I like kill zombies together [and] I save her life at one point. And we filmed a really fun scene where me and Eugene get it on.”

Yep – Laura and Eugene were set to do the deed in the middle of a zombie attack on The Sanctuary.

Apparently Laura was the instigator after seeing her life flash before her eyes.

“One day I’m on set and our director is like, ‘I can’t tell you why but you’re gonna love the next episode’s script,’” Register went on.

“I get it and there’s this scene where Eugene’s in the Saviours’ compound and the walkers have got in. I think we’re gonna die so I come into his room and we have sex.

“I’m like, ‘Don’t think too highly of this – I’m only doing it because we’re gonna die.’ He’s all shaken. it was so funny.”

Register’s comments come after she admitted her sadness at leaving The Walking Dead.

She responded to a fan post about Laura’s brutal murder, which read: “Wait… Beta actually killed Laura?

“Nooooo I was screaming at him not to do it, she was my favourite side-character! Thank you for portraying her. You did an amazing job”

The actress wrote back: “I can’t believe it’s over. Thank you.”

Another fan chipped in: “Why? Don't think I will stop cosplaying her! Lots of love and I'm excited for what might come next for you.”

To which Register replied: “Thanks for sending love. It’s tough closing this chapter.”

Laura isn’t the only casualty of the series so far – Magna (Nadia Hilker) and Connie (Lauren Ridloff) were seemingly crushed when the cave collapsed in the midseason premiere.

However, upon looking at the cast lists, fans are holding out hope that they may have miraculously survived.

In next week’s episode, Hilltop gear up for battle as Alpha spearheads a brutal siege.

The Walking Dead airs Sundays on AMC in the US and Mondays on FOX in the UK.
