Susanna Reid 'knows if Line of Duty's Kate Fleming is dead' after turning detective to work out show's secret clue

SUSANNA Reid claims to know if Line of Duty's Kate Fleming is dead after turning detective to work out the show's secret clue.

The Good Morning Britain presenter, 50, says she was inspired to do some digging after Adrian Dunbar told the ITV show yesterday that "hardcore" fans already know what happens next week.

Susanna said this morning: "He was talking about the difference between the hardcore fans and the core fans and he said the hardcore fans had worked out what happened to Kate.

"Now I'm not going to spoil it for people, but I did then research that yesterday during the day and I worked out how they know what happens."

Despite being clued up to what happened after the dramatic shoot out from Sunday's cliffhanger episode, Susanna admitted: "I think actually it's best to be in the dark."

Actor Adrian – who plays Superintendent Ted Hastings – said yesterday a huge clue about what happens next has already been dropped in the series – and viewers have worked it out online.

Appearing in the Good Morning Britain studio this morning, Adrian told host Susanna Reid: "I know and a lot of Line of Duty fans know."

Confused Susanna replied: "I feel like you're giving us a really heavy piece of information, but for the life of me I can't work out what you're talking about."

Adrian said: "All will be revealed in the fullness of time."

"There's been a very big clue. I'm giving you a scoop as the first guest back on this show.

"There is a clue out there as to what happens next and Line of Duty fans know."

After revealing she'd done her research today, Susanna was teased by her co-host Adil Ray that she hadn't really managed to work out the clue like other hardcore fans.

Susanna replied: "I don't think I do really know because Jed is so expert at teasing us.

"Maybe what the hardcore fans think they know, they don't actually know. It could be a double bluff."
