Shane Richie worries fans with ‘ghostly’ appearance on Alan Carr’s Epic Gameshow

Shane Richie left his fans a little confused following his appearance on Alan Carr's Epic Gameshow.

The EastEnders legend was taking part in the ITV gameshow on Saturday night.

Appearing alongside Vick Hope, Gabby Logan and Richard Blackwood in a celebrity special, the TV star was the second contestant to be eliminated from the competition.

But it wasn't the 57-year-old's performance that worried those at home.

Some viewers were quick to notice didn't look his usual self as he tried to raise cash for his chosen charity, Cherry Trees, a respite home for children with disabilities.

In a smart navy suit and white shirt, he was called ‘ghostly’ by one on twitter.

The popular father-of-five was also rocking a slightly longer hairdo, and some thought perhaps he hadn't been for a haircut since lockdown.

Another teased: "Shane is looking like one of the vampires from Twilight."

A third fan wrote: "Shane Ritchie is looking a wee bit peaky this evening."

While a fourth tweeted: "The Ghost Of Shane Ritchie currently on ITV".

That wasn't all and another one joked: "Has nobody told Shane Ritchie the barbers are open again #EpicGameshow".

The 2020 I'm A Celeb contestant still made everyone giggle on Alan Carr's show but it was Vick that made it to the final round and won £22,100 for the refugees and asylum seekers charity Akwaaba.

Viewers praised her display as she chased cash for a great cause.

Shane admitted to "piling on the pounds" in lockdown and vowed to trim down.

He lost 14lbs when he starred on I'm A Celebrity in December.

The star, Alfie Moon on Albert Square, said back in March: "I lost a stone on I'm A Celeb but then we went into lockdown and now the weight is creeping back on."

Alan Carr's Epic Gameshow continues Saturday at 7:30pm on ITV.
