Phillip Schofield's game show 5 Gold Rings has reportedly been axed by ITV after four series.
The show – which sees contestants attempt to win £50,000 by answering questions on an interactive floor with the use of gold rings – has been a success rating for the channel since launching in 2017 with 59 year old Phillip at the helm.
But it is believed that the pandemic has stopped producers from being able to film a new series, with the network deciding to instead shelve the show altogether.
An insider told Daily Star: "Execs have decided not to commission another series of 5 Gold Rings.
"It won't be back on TV this autumn like it normally would and there are currently no plans to bring it back in the future."
They continued: "This show has been a fantastic success for ITV, but the current climate has made things very tough indeed.
"TV production is extremely difficult while the virus is still around. That means some shows have to be dropped."
It is believed that Phillip was also struggling to fit time to record the series in his busy presenting schedule.
He presents both This Morning and Dancing On Ice alongside Holly Willoughby, as well as his other game show The Cube and consumer show How To Spend It Well.
The cancellation comes after his co-host Holly, 40, announced she has teamed up with Bradley Walsh for a brand new show.

She shared a clip to promote her new gameshow, Take Off, which is a little different from her usual projects – it's on the BBC rather than ITV, and it sees her host alongside Bradley, 61.
As she posted a clip from Take Off on Instagram, many of her followers commented that it looked like a fun programme, but they couldn't get used to seeing her without Phil.
One fan wrote: "Noooo you’ve dumped Philip!!! Weird seeing you host with someone else!!!"
Another person commented: "It looks fab! @hollywilloughby! Although picturing you present with someone else is like watching @antanddec stand in the wrong order or with other people lol"
Meanwhile, many of Holly's fans thought she'd stumbled across her perfect presenting partner in actor Bradley.
One person commented: "Looks fun, love both of you," with someone else writing: "ITVs Dream team @ The BBC!!!!! Whatever next."
