Phillip Schofield was left unimpressed by one This Morning caller who didn’t seem very happy to be winning a £1,000 cash prize.
The caller was entering their Spin to Win competition, where viewers can win up to £3,000 cash if they’re lucky enough for the wheel to stop on the cash amount.
Monday’s episode of the daytime show saw Janette, a caller from Manchester, being announced as the winner of the contest.
As Holly Willoughby informed her of the (what should be) exciting news, Janet simply responded with ‘Oh, er, oh, great’.
Her lackluster response left Phillip looking very unimpressed, as he was astounded by her lack of enthusiasm.
Making matters worse, when Janet was asked a question about the show she replied: ‘I’ve not really been watching it this morning’
‘Haven’t you? If you’ve been entering for a year you should know we give you the answer to this,’ Phillip snapped back.
As well as winning the £1,000, the caller won a variety of other prizes, but this didn’t seem to excite her either.
It was clear Phillip wasn’t happy with her response to the wins.
‘See ya. Yeah, gone. Not that thrilled. Really?’ He said once she hung up the phone.
Next, he addressed the viewers at home: ‘Right, if you fancy your luck and you want to spin the wheel and be a little bit excited if you win a thousand pounds, entries for tomorrow’s game are now open.’
Holly defended the caller, saying that her response could have been because she was nervous.
‘I think people get a bit nervous. Overwhelmed. That’s what it is,’ she said.
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
