John Challis wants to be reunited with his Only Fools And Horses co-star Sue Holderness in EastEnders.
The pair played husband and wife Boycie and Marlene on the beloved sitcom for over two decades.
Sue, 71, has joined the BBC One soap as the new love interest, Estelle, of hapless character Billy Mitchell, played by Perry Fenwick.
Now, John, 78, wants to follow in Sue's footsteps and arrive in Albert Square as a new character.
When asked if he is keen on a role in EastEnders, he said: "Of course, if somebody is interested, then yes I'll do it … If somebody asks me I’ll have a look at it."
John has soap experience after previously playing police officer Det Sgt Norman Phillips in Coronation Street for three short stints in the 1970s and he also narrowly missed out on a major role in Emmerdale.
The Benidorm star – who has just launched his new website John-challis.com and has a spoken word UK tour planned to start in August – added: “There’s a treasure trove out there of people like me, but much younger, doing earlier roles and people keep mentioning my part in Coronation Street.

Sue portrayed Marlene in Only Fools from 1985 to 2003, and she later reunited with John for spin-off series The Green Green Grass, which saw Boycie and Marlene relocate to the countryside to escape the evil Driscoll brothers, from 2005 to 2009.
Fans have urged BBC soap bosses to sign Challis after Sue Holderness joined the EastEnders cast as Billy's love interest.
Taking to Twitter, one hopeful EastEnders fan said: "Cant wait to see Marlene (Sue Holderness) in EastEnders. Please bring Boycie in as well."
Another viewer said: "Imagine Boycie and Marlene reunited in EastEnders. Now that would be great to watch."
"Wow! She’s going to be amazing in this. I would keep expecting to see John Challis appearing my fave duo".
