Melanie Chisholm has insisted it would be a "dream" to see the Spice Girls reunite with Victoria Beckham for a spectacular tour – much to fans' delight.
The singer, 47, appeared on Friday’s Good Morning Britain, chatting with hosts Adil Ray and Kate Garraway about the 25th anniversary of the release of their song Wannabe.
In honour of the anniversary, the girl band are releasing a limited edition EP – 'Wannabe25' – which will be available to stream from July 9.
Adil couldn’t resist asking whether the girl group, who reunited for a tour without Victoria Beckham in 2019, might get back together again.
Kate took the question one step further and wondered whether there was a chance they could reunite with Victoria in tow.
Kate wondered: "Your tour was great wasn’t it, I guess another one, maybe even with Victoria involved, would be good?"
"Well you know, that’s the dream. All of us feel the shows went well," Mel C admitted, hinting a reunion wasn’t off the table.
"It was mind-blowing," she went on. "It was so much better than we ever could have dreamed of. And we’d be absolute fools to not want to do it again.
"We’d love to play the UK, even go further afield, there are territories we never got to as a live band in south-east Asia and Australia."
"So I’m always pushing and we’re always talking, of course, things are tricky at the moment with the pandemic. "
A sellout tour, four of the Spice Girls – Mel C, Emma Bunton, Geri Horner, and Melanie Brown – travelled to Dublin for their 2019 reunion, wrapping up the 13 dates with a concert in London.
An overwhelming success, 700,000 fans turned up to witness their reunion, generating tens of millions in ticket sales.
The missing link, Victoria declined to take part due to family and business commitments, but wished her bandmates the best with the reunion.
"It took me a lot of courage not to go on tour with the Spice Girls again, but to be the one who says: 'You know, I'm not doing it because things feel different now than they used to'," she explained to Vogue Germany.
"I'd rather concentrate on my family and my company. I'm 45 now and very happy to be the woman I am.
"I'm not trying to change, I want to be the best version of myself. Before I turned 40, I wasn't that confident. I learned to listen to my gut feeling."
