I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star Shane Richie is best known for playing Alfie Moon in Eastenders – but he will soon be swapping the Queen Vic for a castle in Wales.
Before he was the square’s loveable rogue, he tried his hand at stand up having started a career in holiday camps.
As well as dipping in and out of Walford, Richie has become a pantomime favourite and hosted a number of TV gameshows.
The TV personality also had a hit single with a cover of the Wham classic I’m Your Man, raising money for charity, back in 2003.
He has had two kids with Coleen Nolan – Shane Roche Jr and Jake Roche, who himself has gone on to forge a successful music career.
Richie married Nolan in 1990, before splitting in 1999 after their long distanced relationship became too difficult.

The actress has starred in The Last Dance, American Daylight and Hustle.
She also appeared in Jim Davidson’s Boobs In The Wood.
The couple have three children together – Mackenzie Blue, Lolita Bell and Romani-Skye Angel Shelley.
Shane will no doubt miss his family when he finds himself making friends with creepy crawlies for this year's competition.
The actor signed up to I’m a Celebrity after confessing that the pandemic had left him skint and at a loss with savings.
He said: “You save money for a rainy day but you don't expect the rainy day to last six months.

“Thankfully I've been able to borrow money from mates, my family and the bank and my wife is now very happy we can finally pay off the credit card!
“But what an honour to be asked before lockdown. I am so grateful and I am really looking forward to being around adults again instead of my wife and three children!”
The actor previously revealed he signed up for the show in January when the plan was still to film in Australia instead of North Wales' Gwyrch Castle.
He added: “We got the call in January and I agreed to do it because it was the 20th one.
“My kids were old enough to travel to Australia and they wanted to meet Ant and Dec! We were all really excited.”
