Married at First Sight Australia: Matthew prepares for wedding
Matthew and Lauren were the eighth couple to get married on the Australian version of Married At First Sight. The 2019 series has now made its way across the world to the UK, and fans are keen to catch up with all the relationship news. Express.co.uk has all you need to know about whether Matthew and Lauren are still together.
Are Matthew and Lauren still together?
Matthew Bennett, 29, was partnered with Lauren Huntriss, 31, by the panel of experts on the unique reality TV series.
Matthew described himself as an introvert who did not have much experience when it came to bringing women home to meet the family.
Ahead of his time on the series, he said he had not been kissed in seven years, and he had never been in a real relationship.
Fans later discovered the 29-year-old videographer from Brisbane has still not experienced the physical side of romance.
He was matched with make-up artist Lauren, who also admitted she was unlucky when it came to love.

Lauren from Sydney said she had a habit of choosing men who were not ready for a serious relationship.
Determined to settle down and find true love, she believed this quirky experiment was her last hope.
The couple spent their honeymoon in McLaren Vale, South Australia, but sadly they decided to call it a day before the end of the experiment.
Fans will be sad to hear they are still separated to this day.
The pair were known to have had multiple fall-outs while they were on the show, and they both have their own sides of the story.
After filming had finished, Matthew said he continued to receive text messages from Lauren, but the pair were by no means friends.
They were the first couple to leave the experiment after Matthew was overheard saying he was no longer attracted to Lauren.
Thankfully, Matthew went on to find love with girlfriend Annabel, whom he had first met in 2018.
One of his last Instagram posts was from December 2019, and he shared a photo with Annabel, saying: “Happy birthday to the funniest, feistiest, friendliest, fun-lovingest person I’ve ever met.
“It’s been an adventure filled year, full of highs and lows, but I couldn’t have asked for a better travel buddy, friend and partner.”

He has not posted anything since January 2020, so it is not clear whether the couple is still together today.
Annabel, however, is also on Instagram and she confirmed they were still an item on Christmas Day 2020, when she shared a festive photo.
One fan responded saying: “So great you two are still together,” while another said: “Yes I’m so happy for him finding you after what he went through blessed [sic].”
Back in November 2020, she shared a photo of Matt outside a romantic log cabin, saying: “To celebrate that it’s been two years since we first met, @mattybgrateful decided to take a whole chicken to a secluded cabin in the woods. He said I could come too. He knows how to do a romance.”
As for Lauren, there is not much to suggest whether she is in another relationship at the moment.
She is on Instagram, but her social media pages mostly consist of make-up snaps or photos of herself with her family.
Following her experience on the dating series, it seems she has chosen to keep her personal life out of the spotlight when it comes to relationships.
In July 2020 she shared a motivational post, saying: “I used to always think I needed a man to complete me, to make me happy… I was so desperate I even went on reality TV to try and find someone.
“What I’ve since discovered on this magical journey called “life” is that the most important relationship is the one with yourself. You cannot depend on someone else to fulfil your happiness!
“Never lose yourself and what you value. Do NOT settle just because you’re afraid of ending up alone.”
