Married at First Sight UK 2021 latest: Groom Adam stunned after Tayah's mum drops truth bomb after his wedding day FAIL

MARRIED At First Sight's Tayah was left stunned when her mum had harsh words with her new husband Adam on their wedding day.

The mother-of-the-bride was branded "scary" by Adam after she grilled him as to why he would agree marry a complete stranger.

Tayah was in shock as her mum let rip at Adam at their intimate wedding reception, telling Adam it would be 'ok' if the marriage did not work out.

Stepping in to defend her new husband, Tayah said: "Just chill, mum."

Earlier in the episode Tayah had been in tears believing her mother would boycott the ceremony, after her dad was a no-show.

Meanwhile Jordan struggled to bond with his new wife Alexis, after previously admitting she was not his usual type.

Married At First Sight UK has returned for its most explosive series yet with sixteen singletons matched by experts into eight newlywed couples.

So far the most expensive nuptials has been held at North Mymms Park Hertfordshire’s Grade I Listed Elizabethan Stately Home and Castle Ashby in Northamptonshire.

According to Stelrad, Channel 4 bosses may have splashed as much as £24,850 on the reality stars’ big day if held at the latter.

That includes venue hire, £2,000 catering for 100 guests, £650 wedding cake, £1,200 flowers and £1,900 photography. Brides were also given a £1,600 budget on dresses.

North Mymms park came in cheaper at a total of £15,850.

WHAT HAS TAYAH SAID ABOUT APPEARING ON MAFS?

Tayah might not know who’s waiting for her at the end of the aisle, but she knows what kind of man she’s after.

She reportedly likes “a confident guy, someone who knows themselves and who has a bit of something about them”.

She also wants someone who knows how to take care of himself and who will look good standing next to her.

Tayah also wants a man who she can look after, but definitely doesn’t want to end up with someone who has a “beer belly”.

The E4 star said: “My happy ever after would be that I’ve always wanted to get married and wanted kids.

“I’ve always wanted to be a young mum.

“My end goal is to have that family and have that family unit, so that would be an ideal situation to come from this.”

MARRIED AT FIRST SIGHT UK WEDDINGS: HOW MUCH THE GLITTERING CEREMONIES COST

THEY may be taking the biggest gamble of their lives by marrying a stranger, but at least they’re doing it in style.

Married At First Sight UK has returned for its most explosive series yet with sixteen singletons matched by experts into eight newlywed couples.

So far the most expensive nuptials have been held at North Mymms Park Hertfordshire’s Grade I Listed Elizabethan Stately Home and Castle Ashby in Northamptonshire.

NONE OF THE MATCHED MAFS COUPLES HAVE EVER STAYED TOGETHER AFTER FIVE SERIES OF THE SHOW

It’s a pricey risk for Channel 4 seeing as NONE of the matched couples have stayed together across the past five series.

But perhaps this year’s bunch of hopeless romantics have a better chance as producers work to make this series more like its Australian counterpart.

Just a week into the new series, the couples have met and tied the knot minutes later.

The 20-episode series follows the contestants from the day they are matched with partners.

It then documents their wedding day — where they meet their love interest for the first time — before focusing on their honeymoon and life together in an apartment block in Brighton which houses all the newlyweds.

Explosive weekly commitment ceremonies and dinner parties will add to the drama.

MARRIED AT FIRST SIGHT FANS BAFFLED BY BIZARRE REQUEST DURING CEREMONY

After Jordan and Alexis recited their vows, the marriage officiant told Jordan: “So Jordan, kiss the ring and place it on the fourth finger of her left hand.”

He looked confused, repeating: “Kiss the ring?”

Not acknowledging how strange the request was, the officiant simply replied: “Yes.”

Jordan quickly pecked the ring before stating: “The ring is kissed.”

But viewers at home were distracted by the officiant’s odd request, and took to social media to question it.

One wrote: “Kiss the ring?? What’s that about?”

Another added: “‘Kiss the ring?!’ This celebrant’s properly winding Jordan up.”
