Love Island viewers spot Jake smirk clue he wanted Liam and Millie to split

Eagle-eyed Love Island fans are certain they’ve spotted a vital clue to Jake Cornish wanting Liam Reardon and Millie Court to call it a day and re-couple.

Things were tense in the villa on Friday, as Lillie entered the main villa to throw a spanner in the works after Liam chose to stay ‘loyal’ to Millie.

But the 21-year-old had been busy snogging Lillie and sharing a bed with her while in Casa Amor – and Lillie was keen for Millie to know about it.

Millie was left devastated by the news after also choosing to stay loyal to Liam.

But Jake appeared to smirk and have a giggle as Liam’s betrayal was unveiled – and fans flocked to social media to share their outrage at the 24-year-old water engineer’s behaviour.

  • Love Island fans fume as they spot Liam's 'disgusting' response to Lillie exposing fling

One viewer penned: "Jake trying not to laugh right as Millie finds out about the kiss. I’ve never seen such a smug little man. Biggest game player they’ve ever had."

Someone else tweeted: "The way Jake is trying not to laugh when his plan to set Liam up worked."

"Jake is that friend who encourages you to do something wrong, then laughs at you when you get in trouble," a third chimed in.

Liam and Lillie gave in to temptation earlier this week and snogged Lillie after promising to give her "one hundred percent" for a night to see how things went.

And as they were getting down to business, Jake wandered past and his jaw dropped in apparent shock.

"I don’t know where to go!" Jake gabbled as he stared over at the pair – but fans were certain he was faking, and revelling too much in the moment.

They’re certain Jake has a game plan to secure the £50,000 prize pot for if he and Liberty are crowned the winning couple – and determined to split other couples up.

Some viewers were even eager for Jake to be booted out of Casa Amor entirely after the interrupted kiss, as well as encouraging Tyler and Toby to give it a go with the Casa Amor bombshells.

Jake, meanwhile, stayed loyal to girlfriend Liberty – and went as far as appearing to bow out of a game of dares played on the first day in the new villa.

Catching onto his game plan, fans immediately took to Twitter to post: "Jake securing the £50,000 sending Liam to chat to Lillie."

Someone else said: "Jake has been the true villain the whole time, he went into Casa Amor with a game plan and executed it to perfection!"

"Jake has a game plan & it’s working. Don't fall for that tacky couples bracelet. He asked Liberty to be his girlfriend 2 weeks after wanting to move on to a new blonde. Then goes Casa Amor & encourages every boy to cheat. I'm voting [for] whoever he’s against in the final," another echoed.

Love Island continues on Sunday at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVHub.
