Holly Willoughby denies leaving This Morning amid rumours she was quitting show

Holly Willoughby has denied rumours she is leaving This Morning.

It was recently claimed the star had planned to quit the breakfast show after presenting alongside Phillip Schofield for 11 years.

However, it appears the 39-year-old is here to stay and we couldn’t be happier.

A source told Metro.co.uk: ‘Holly loves This Morning and working with Phil. She is the happiest that she’s ever been on the show and has no plans to leave.’

It comes after an insider told The Sun that the mum-of-three was seeking other opportunities on prime time TV.

‘Holly is unique in that women like her and want to be her friend and men are attracted to her as she’s so beautiful. She has universal appeal,’ they stated.

‘While she loves This Morning, her four-day-a-week live TV stint is a huge drain on her time and requires a lot of energy, plus she’s been doing it for 11 years now.’

But, don’t worry, Holly isn’t going anywhere and will be back on our screens soon following her summer holiday.

The star was set to take seven weeks off in Portugal with her husband Daniel Baldwin, 45, and their brood.

However, their time away was cut short after Prime Minister Boris Johnson implemented travel restrictions on the country, meaning people returning from Portugal have to self-isolate for two weeks to help stall the spread of coronavirus.

At the time Holly was forced to return to the UK, a source told the Mail Online: ‘Holly accepts that she has to go into quarantine and will follow the rules.

‘The summer break is her chance to re-charge after a hectic period and to spend time with her family.’

They added: ‘After all the stresses of the pandemic she had been looking forward to relaxing as long as possible.

‘Instead of seven weeks away she has had to make it five – but it’s what she’s had to do to keep the This Morning team safe and to ensure she returns to the show on time.’

It has since been confirmed that Holly will now be back on the show’s iconic sofa September 1.

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
