Emmerdale viewers were left feeling bewildered as Priya Sharma was released from hospital despite suffering with severe burns on her back a few weeks ago.

Priya was accidentally caught in a blazing fire that took place in a cornfield during survival week.

Trying her best to escape the roaring blaze, a scarecrow fell onto her back, leaving her scarred.

But due to the fact that the accident only took place roughly two weeks ago, Emmerdale fans believed it was a huge oversight.

Rushing to Twitter, several fans shared their thoughts on the unrealistic scenes.

One fan wrote: "So, Pryia returns home? Wasn't she at deaths door yesterday?"

Another said: "Of course Priya is being discharged. Probably due to the Emmerdale water as it takes normal folk months of hospitalization and rehab after suffering fifty per cent burns to recover."

A third chimed: "Yes Emmerdale is one hell of a dangerous place to be, but my god do they heal quickly."

Someone else also echoed: "Bloody hell Priya was only in hospital 5 minutes."
