EastEnders’ Stacey Slater (played by Lacey Turner) recently made her long-awaited return to the square after spending time in prison for assaulting ex-husband Martin Fowler’s (James Bye) girlfriend, Ruby Allen (Louisa Lytton). After she returned to the square, Martin got his hopes up at another chance with Stacey, but they were soon crushed when she revealed she remarried whilst in prison to Eve Unwin (Heather Peace). However, Martin could soon be reunited with ex-wife Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) over the Christmas period as they celebrate his big win against Stacey.

In upcoming scenes, Eve helps Stacey to get a job interview as the new market inspector, but they have no idea that Martin is also in the running too.

Not before long, Stacey and Martin realise they’re both going for the same job and agree that it would be the best person who wins.

At her interview, Stacey is grilled and soon realises Eve has added some extra embellishments to her CV without being told.

Later, Ash Kaur (Gurlaine Kaur Garcha) has some choice words for Eve and Stacey, leaving Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) impressed.

Unluckily for Stacey, the job interviewer has seen the whole thing and swiftly leaves unimpressed with her fumbled interview.

Later, Martin gives Sonia a ticket for The Albert to celebrate and tells her he got the job.

Could this good news reunite the iconic couple? Could a few drinks turn into something more?

Later, Suki and Ash have a drink together at The Vic, but a comment from Eve has her speaking before she thinks, leaving Ash devastated.

During the Christmas period, EastEnders has always provided viewers with iconic dramatic scenes and storylines.

This Christmas period is set to be bigger and better than ever as Tom ‘Rocky’ Cotton’s (Brian Conley) secret scam against Sonia could be revealed.

Rocky has been pretending to be Sonia’s father in a bid to inherit Dot Cotton’s (June Brown) money she left after she died.

After realising his mistake and realising his true feelings for Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth), and feeling bad about Sonia, Rocky attempted to confess but ended up having a heart attack.

Serial killer Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith) could also meet a dramatic downfall this Christmas as his secrets start to crumble.

Over the last year, Gray has been on a killing spree, murdering his ex-wife Chantelle (Jessica Plummer), Tina Carter (Luisa Bradshaw-White) and Kush Kazemi (Davood Ghadami).

Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) is putting pressure on Gray to come clean about his financial situation and the fact he killed Chantelle.

Denise Fox (Diane Parish), Kim Fox (Tameka Empson) and Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams) could all be in danger if Gray’s secrets are exposed.

Star Shona McGarty previously explained: “Whitney has known Gray for a long time, so she’s seen behaviours that she finds concerning, like his aggression.

“I think initially she put that down to the fact he’d lost his wife, he’s a single parent, and he’s finding it all very difficult.

“But the warning signs are there now, and she’s expecting to find out that there is more to it and that he’s not a very nice person.

“She’s starting to think that, maybe it’s not just her, and maybe he’s like that with all women. The warning scenes have been there for a long time.”

EastEnders airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday on BBC One.
