EastEnders: Cindy Beale returns
This week saw the dramatic return of Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) and his ‘dead’ first wife Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) to Albert Square on EastEnders.
And that might not be the only shocking discovery for Ian’s son, Bobby Beale (Clay Milner Russell) to wrap his head around.
Viewers have watched as Bobby and Anna (Molly Rainford) have grown close, with Bobby even coming clean to her about his past when he accidentally murdered his sister Lucy (last played by Hetti Bywater) in 2014, when he was just a child.
But Anna then discovered that Cindy Beale was actually her mother, making her half-sisters with Lucy and Peter Beale (now played by Thomas Law).
Worrying that Anna would reject him, Bobby asked her about their future which led Anna to lash out at him. Given she was still in shock about finding out her mother Cindy’s true identity, later in the episode she left the club with Bobby’s friend Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier).

At the fish and chip shop Anna attempted to kiss Freddie, who given he knows how much Bobby likes Anna hesitated to kiss her back.
But as soon as she insisted that there was nothing going on between her and Bobby, things turned passionate for the pair.
Will they keep this steamy moment from Bobby? Or could this combined with Cindy’s return all be too much for the teenager and trigger his violent past? It has left viewers wondering if Bobby could “strike again”.

Fans have taken to social media to share their thoughts as one viewer theorised: “Freddie is next on Bobby’s hitlist.”
Another said: “Can’t wait to see Bobby go on a rampage,” while a third asked: “The episode has me thinking will Bobby Beale strike again with either killing Ian Beale, Peter Beale or Freddie Slater?”
Back in 2015, when Bobby was revealed as Lucy’s killer, his startling behaviour only intensified when his crime was covered up by his family.
Viewers will remember him attacking and leaving his stepmother Jane Beale (Laurie Brett) for dead and almost killing his friend Dennis Rickman Jr (played then by Harry Hickles).
But he eventually spent time in a youth detention centre after confessing to Lucy’s murder in 2016, before returning to Walford in 2019.
Since then he has been on the straight and narrow and was even forgiven by his family for killing Lucy.
But could he return to his old ways and attempt to get revenge on Freddie, Anna or even Cindy? Fans will need to tune in to see.
EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
