EastEnders fans spot soap stars making hidden Harry Potter cameo in iconic scene

The magical movie franchise is known to have launched massive careers for the likes of Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint.

But eagle-eyed viewers have spotted two familiar faces from EastEnders lurking in the background of the epic final Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Part Two).

On Friday (August 4), one fan of the BBC One soap noticed what appeared to be a youthful looking soap stars in the background of the final scene in the Harry Potter franchise.

As an older looking Harry, Ginny, Ron and Hermione waved their children off for their first year at Hogwarts, the TV fan saw young actors Milly Zero and Ben Chamniss standing behind the famous actors.

In the long-running soap, Milly – who plays the role of Dotty Cotton – and Ben – who played the role of the loveable market worker Shrimpy – could be seen putting their acting skills to the test as they watched the budding students board the famous magical train.

The sharp-eyed user couldn’t help but grab a picture of the mind-blowing moment to share on social media which they captioned: “After watching Harry Potter so many times I've just realised that a young Dotty is in it and Shrimpy is behind her.”

After sharing the mind-blowing moment on social media, fans of the show flooded to the comments section to share their surprise at the young actors on the blockbuster film.

One user joked: “Hope someone was covering his stall when he was here!” as another pointed out: “With the same hair too!!!!!!”

A third wrote: “I knew Shrimpy was special but a Wizard!!!! Are you under cover on the square?”

“Wow never knew this!” as one viewer, meanwhile a fellow fan added: “Omg lol” which they signed off with a kiss.

But she’s not the only EastEnders star who has appeared in the hit franchise, as Albert Square legend Tiana Benjamin – who played Chelsea Fox – was also seen in the fourth instalment of the Harry Potter series.

Back in 2005, the brunette beauty played the role of Angelina Johnson in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire alongside Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint.

Tiana, who starred on the soap between 2006 and 2010 is even thought to have given up her role in Harry Potter to appear in the soap.
