Death in Paradise's Ralf Little reveals future on show beyond series 10 amid exit rumours

DEATH in Paradise's Ralf Little has revealed plans for his future on the show beyond series 10 amid exit rumours.

The 41-year-old actor joined the hit BBC crime drama as DI Neville Parker midway through series nine, taking over from Ardal O'Hanlon.

As series 10 continues to air each Thursday, Ralf has been interacting with fans on social media about the show and sharing behind-the-scenes videos and pictures.

Earlier this week he shared a funny sketch with Ben Miller, the show's original detective, who had returned for a special cameo episode last week as part of the drama's 10th anniversary.

Fans loved the clip, but it prompted some to ask Ralf for clarification on how long he would remain on the programme.

One fan tweeted: "Loving the new series of Death in Paradise but is there any truth that you are leaving the show??"

Ralf replied: "Nope. No idea where that has come from!"

Part of the speculation comes from the fact the show's detective seems to change around every three seasons, with Kris Marshall taking over from Ben for series three to six, before Ardal replaced him until the middle of series nine.

It isn't the first time Ralf has discussed his future on the show, as it was announced last month that Death in Paradise has been recommissioned for a further two series,

During an appearance on Graham Norton's new Virgin Radio show, Ralf, 40, said: "I'll be back next year, but I don't think I'm signed for the two years."

So while Ralf will be back for series 11, series 12 is still up in the air at the moment.

Meanwhile, executive producer Tim Key previously revealed the door had been left open for Kris' return as DI Humphrey Goodman, as well as Danny John-Jules as Officer Dwayne Myers.

Death in Paradise continues tonight at 9pm on BBC One.
