Rege-Jean Page has opened up about the seriously steamy sex scenes he starred in in Bridgerton.
The 31-year-old stud, who played the dashing Duke of Hastings in the hit drama, said he was not “sufficiently prepared” for their intensity and that watching them back was “overwhelming”.
Jean-Rege starred opposite Pheobe Dynevor, who played his lover Daphne Bridgerton.
Speaking to the Hollywood Reporter, the British actor said: "No one was sufficiently prepared. I wasn’t sufficiently prepared, and I was there.
"I think people were grateful for the intensity of the romantic aspects of Bridgerton. I’m not sure how grateful I was to watch it for myself.
He added: "It was overwhelming. But I think people were looking to be overwhelmed."
Bridgerton, based on the books by Julia Quinn, has been given the go-ahead for a second series – much to fans' delight.
The show became a global phenomenon with everyone on the edge of their seats about the true identity of latter-day “gossip columnist” Lady Whistledown.

A source said: “Rege may be the bookies' favourite, but producer Barbara Broccoli won’t consider a new 007 until Daniel [Craig] finishes his No Time To Die promotion – simply out of respect for Daniel."
The source added: “We are almost a year away from the process really beginning. And in that time other names will come into the picture.
