BGT fans rumble person behind invisible The Phantom act with past link to show

Britain's Got Talent fans think they have worked out who is behind the ITV show's "invisible" act called The Phantom after their performance on Thursday's semi-final.

During the show, The Phantom left the judges — Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams — mystified with their mind-bending magic.

While their identity remains to be revealed, as the whole performance was done as a voiceover with a voice disguiser, some eagle-eyed fans think they have "rumbled" the act.

Viewers think that The Phantom could be Marc Spelmann, who received Ant & Dec's golden buzzer on the 2018 series and secretly returned to the show in 2019 under the guise of Magician X.

Taking to Twitter, one person said: "I’m convinced The Phantom is Marc Spellmann #BGT."

A different account put: "Shall we just assume this is Marc Spelmann from 2019 again? #BGT."

Another follower wrote: "I’m convinced The Phantom is Marc Spellmann #BGT."

While a different viewer added: "The Phantom is definity Marc Spellman, who returned a couple year later as Magician X. I'm 100% sure of it #BGT #BritainsGotTalent."

Elsewhere, Britain's Got Talent fans think they have worked out The Witch's identity during Monday's live semi-finals.

The mystery contestant, who was later sent home, left judges Simon, Amanda, Alesha and David terrified during their performance.

Many took to social media to share their thoughts on who they think the contestant is with fans previously guessing that it's BGT hosts, Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly.

Viewers now think that The Witch is Stephen Mulhern and he was working with Ant and Dec for the performance.
