Baffled Strictly fans all have the same question after professional dancers' opening number on results show

CONFUSED Strictly Come Dancing fans all have the same questions about the professional dancers after their show-stopping opening number this evening.

The episode kicked off with the pros giving an energetic routine to The Rolling Stones' (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction before the song switched to The Beatles' Twist And Shout.

The cameras largely centred on Oti Mabuse and Amy Dowden, who were wearing white dresses with red and blue detailing respectively in the first number.

However, as the music changed the two women were briefly concealed by rails of clothes, and when they were back in shot their outfits had turned to white with purple and orange pops of colour.

Viewers reacted to the TV magic on social media, with one exclaiming: "I’m so shook at Oti and Amy’s dress colour changes! HOW?!"

Another asked: "How the hell is Oti's dress turning colour as we watch?"

A third gasped: "HOW did those dresses change colour?!"

However, the upbeat start to tonight's show quickly soured, with the BBC series embroiled in a race row after Ugo Monye and Rhys Stephenson landed in the dance off.

Ugo and pro partner Oti were sent home by the judges, but even head judge Shirley Ballas couldn't hide her shock at consistently strong Rhys being at the bottom of the public vote.

She said: "This is why voting is so important. I'm absolutely in shock that you are in the bottom two, you turned in a very, very good performance when you danced."

Ugo's exit comes after Judi Love, who missed this week's Strictly after testing positive for Covid, landed in the dance-off two weeks in a row.
