ALAN Carr has revealed the reason behind his divorce from husband of 14 years Paul Drayton.

The comedian, 45, announced his devastating break-up in January shortly before going on tour.

Alan told daytime TV host Lorraine Kelly when she asked about the split: "Oh me and Paul, 14 years-"

"That's a long time," Lorraine quipped while Alan joked: "Which in gay years, is 207 years!"

He continued: "I wrote the tour, and then our marriage broke down during Covid, because it was so stressful, everything …

"And then I was going on stage and I was just like, 'Well this doesn't make sense, this doesn't make sense.'
