A Place in the Sun's Danni Menzies left 'really embarrassed' as she comes face-to-face with ex for new reality show

DANNI Menzies has said she was 'really embarrassed' when she came face-to-face with her ex while filming for Celebrity Ex in the City.

The star's appearance in the upcoming MTV show has not interrupted her presenting duties on A Place in the Sun as she continues to film the Channel 4 show.

She is joining a host of famous faces including Towie's Demi Sims and Love Island hunk Jack Fincham.

Speaking to Daily Star Online, the star admitted she got "really embarrassed" and is "nervous" to see the clips.

Danni told the publication: "It was an experience and I’ve not done any reality TV before, especially that kind when its personal and about you.

"I’m nervous to see it. I giggled a lot and I got really embarrassed.

"Hopefully they are kind to me in the edit."

The star said she is not allowed to reveal what happened during her gig on the show but that there was "lots of little awkward moments".

"I don't think I've sweated so much in my life," she said.

Danni's last known relationship ended in August 2020 when she split from former soldier Simon Moloney.

The couple spent lockdown together but went their separate ways when the rules lifted in the summer.

Simon and Danni met after they were set up on a blind date by friends who were also dating.

Speaking to the Sunday Post in June 2020, Danni said previously of their relationship: "We went on about five or six dates and then ended up isolating together for ten weeks at home on Mains of Taymouth Country Estate.

"Some of my friends said, 'Well, he's definitely passed the test; he put up with you for ten weeks'.

"We only fell out once. I usually get fed up with boys quickly, so for me that's really good."

At the time the star said she wasn't sure about having children as she is currently loving travelling.

Danni said: "I'm not saying I won't, I'm just not sure. I really love travelling.

"Even if I do get that country life I want, I still want to travel and work a lot. I am not 100% on having kids, but I am 100% on having lots of dogs and probably a rescue donkey as well – basically anything that needs a home."
