A Place in the Sun turned awkward for one couple when they disagreed over a property – and host Jasmine Harman was shocked.

John and Soussan were looking for a two-bedroom home with some outdoor space in the Costa Calida region of Spain on yesterday’s repeat episode (February 16).

They looked around three properties without any problem but the fourth caused a stir.

It was on the market for £73,000 – £2,000 below their budget – and had three bedrooms as well as lots of outdoor space and access to 24 swimming pools within the compound.

Soussan was unimpressed by what she saw, telling Jasmine: “It was okay overall but I still have a little reservation. The one before, I have a better feeling than this. I think John will disagree with me.”

Sure enough, her other half then goes on to explain how he’s fallen in love with the property.

“I’m surprised because this gives me a wow factor as soon as I walked in,” he said.

Realising she has sparked a disagreement, a shocked Jasmine added: “Oh no. What have I done?”

The fifth and final property did impress the couple. But they later admitted to Jasmine that, like the fourth, they hadn’t reached an agreement.

Instead, they decided to continue the search for their dream property on their own.

It is not the first time A Place in the Sun has seen some frosty encounters.

In another episode, host Danni Menzies snapped she “couldn’t help” a couple with their property hunt after their indecisiveness.

Meanwhile, Laura Hamilton appeared to lose patience after two guests insulted every property.

A Place in the Sun airs weekdays at 3pm on Channel 4.
