Woman comes back from holidays to discover she’s seven months pregnant

A woman came back from holidays to discover she was seven months pregnant – and she ended up giving birth just a week later.

Becca Ellis, from Manchester, returned from Spain and welcomed a miracle baby within days.

The new mum took to TikTok to share the news, and the video has since gone viral, having been viewed more than a million times.

Titled “POV: you come back from holiday to find out you are 7 months pregnant and have a baby in a week,” the video has attracted a lot of attention.

Ellis, who is based in Manchester, also opened up about the experience on Instagram where she told her followers she didn't even think she would be able to conceive naturally due to the fact that she was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2016.

She explained she endured a lot of treatment – including radiotherapy, chemotherapy and even went onto have stem cell treatment – and this meant there was a chance she would lose her fertility.

According to the New York Post, the new mum said: "I had an ovary taken out and frozen to preserve my fertility then after the treatment I didn’t have periods, and I was told I went though medical menopause, meaning I couldn’t have kids naturally."

In the video she also referred to her son, Elijah, as a “little miracle”.

Even though she thought she'd put on a few pounds on vacation – it wasn't until she started experiencing strange symptoms that she realised something may have been wrong.

"I started getting pre-eclampsia symptoms in Spain, and that’s when I started to notice a significant change in my body," she added.

"So I put two and two together, but I didn’t believe it until I got back to Manchester and took a test."

Ellis was later admitted to hospital and underwent an emergency C-section, and baby Elijah was born at 28 weeks on July 1, 2022.

At first the little one spent some time at the neonatal ward, but now he's said to be doing well.

She said: "He’s done so amazing. I’m so proud of him.

"He’s come a long way – we both have."
