The group released a string of successful albums including Elephunk (2003) and Monkey Business (2004) – which went platinum after selling more than 100 million copies.

Black Eyed Peas’ biggest hits include “I gotta feeling”, “Let’s get it started” and “Boom boom pow.”

But will.i.am has made a pretty penny through his solo music projects too.

He’s released four solo album’s and his latest venture – Willpower (2013) features tracks with Britney Spears and Lil Wayne.

He’s also produced tracks for Carlos Santana, John Legend and the Pussycat Dolls among others.

will.i.am has been twice nominated for non-classical producer of the year – in 2006 and 2009.

Now he is a coach on The Voice UK alongside Anne-Marie, Sir Tom Jones and Olly Murs.

The show is currently in its fifth series.

Will.i.am currently has contestant Victoria Heath on his team.

Last week judge Sir Tom Jones said he was “pleased” the aspiring singer is on the show and now in the “good hands” of will.i.am.

Tom posted on Twitter: “I’m kicking myself, I should have pressed my button for Victoria. That was beautiful and heartfelt.

“Pleased you are on the show and you are in good hands with @iamwill.”

Victoria was taken aback by his comments, as she shared her excitement at being on the show.

She responded: “This tho @RealSirTomJones thank you so much for the beautiful comment!!!!

“And as I said I LOVE YOU! Soooo excited to be part of the @thevoiceuk and team @iamwill!!! (sic).”
