METRO Boomin has suffered a family tragedy which saw his mother reportedly killed on Friday, June 3, 2022.

What happened to Metro Boomin's mother?
According to TMZ, Leslie was reportedly killed in a murder-suicide on June 3, 2022.
They report she was murdered by her husband, who allegedly later went on to take his own life.
Her husband was not Metro's biological father.
TMZ claims Metro received the devastating news after cops discovered his mother's body near Atlanta, Georgia.

In a 2016 interview with magazine The Fader, Metro thanked his mom for his unique birth name, Leland Tyler Wayne.
He told the publication: "My mom wanted to give me a name where, no matter what I wanted to do, I’d be able to do it.
"An astronaut. President. Whatever. Leland Wayne."
She also sparked his interest in production when she bought him a laptop, according to kulturehub.com.
Metro and his mom would drive from St Louis to Atlanta so he could work with OJ Da Juiceman at his studio – a trip that would happen every weekend depending on how Metro performed at school.
Who is Metro Boomin's father?
Metro's parents split when he was in third grade.
At one stage Metro adopted the stage name Lil’ Mont in tribute to his father Lamont Wayne before changing it.
Metro, who was born on September 16, 1993, spoke about his father to The Fader in 2016.
He revealed that his dad, who he hadn't spoken to in ages, still lived in St Louis.
But he admitted he was thinking about getting back in touch saying: "I’m really at the point where—that’s still my father. We’ve had great memories.
