Transfer news LIVE: Cristiano Ronaldo's agent 'optimistic' over Atletico Madrid move, Bayern Munich sound out Harry Kane | The Sun

CRISTIANO RONALDO is willing to take a 30 per cent pay cut to leave Manchester United this summer, according to reports.

The Atletico Madrid target, 37, is keen on quitting Old Trafford this summer.

And his agent Jorge Mendes is said to be "optimistic" that a deal can be done with Diego Simeone's side, despite a large number of Atleti fans being far from positive over the former Real Madrid star joining.

Elsewhere, Liverpool have made Sporting Lisbon midfielder Matheus Nunes a top "priority" and are prepared to open negotiations for the player, according to reports.

The 23-year-old central midfielder had a standout campaign last term, featuring 46 times across all competitions for Sporting.

The club decided to buy Spence not me, says Conte

Tottenham welcomed their sixth new face through the Hotspur Way doors this week, with Djed Spence following in the footsteps of Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster, Yves Bissouma, Richarlison, and Clement Lenglet.

However, Antonio Conte revealed in his press conference that Spence was actually a signing driven by the club, rather than one of his own personal targets.

He said: "For the club, it’s not simple to go into the transfer market and sign players free like Perisic and Forster and sign players on loan like Lenglet, and to sign players with money like Richarlison and Bissouma and Spence.

"Spence is an investment of the club. The club wanted to do it. I said OK, this player is young, but he showed he can become a good, important player for us. The club decided to buy him."

These comments have led some to wonder whether Conte wanted Spence, if the club forced the right-back on him and whether the 21-year-old will be given game time.

The Red Devils have missed out, however, with the Dutchman opting to make his return to his hometown team a permanent one.

Brobbey joined Ajax’s academy as an eight-year-old, rising through the ranks before making his first team bow.

    Just-in for now

Gareth Southgate decided to hand debut a call-up to Leicester's versatile full-back James Justin in April.

The 24-year-old looked slightly out of place in the first half defeat at Hungary but the experience will be valuable.

The ex-Luton ace only featured 13 times in the Premier League this term after a knee injury kept him out until January.

Rival clubs will certainly be interested in 'JJ' if he becomes available with the Foxes having to earn some crust it meet FFP regulations.

    Mad for it

Maddison, 25, enjoyed a productive season last term, scoring 18 goals and assisting a further 12 in all competitions.

Arsenal are long-term admirers of the playmaker, who has over two years left on his current contract.

North London rivals Tottenham are also reportedly interested in the one-cap England international.

Gareth Southgate continues to snub the proven Prem game-changer but a move could force Maddison into the spotlight for Qatar.

    Foxes for sale

Youri Tielemans and James Maddison are reportedly two of many stars Leicester may need to sell this summer amid fears over Financial Fair Play.

Despite boss Brendan Rodgers calling for a "healthy shake up" of his squad back in February, the Foxes are the only Premier League club yet to make a signing.

And according to the Telegraph, Leicester could be forced into selling more valuable assets if they can't shift lesser names before they buy.

This means that the likes of Maddison, Harvey Barnes, Wesley Fofana, Youri Tielemans and James Justin could become available as the window progresses – let's take a look at each situation…
