The ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ Tribute to Tony Stark Included 1 Iconic Song by Whitney Houston

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Far From Home included moments of Peter Parker in high school. The Midtown School of Science and Technology students even created a video tribute to Tony Stark and the other fallen Avengers, with a Whitney Houston song setting the mood for their production.

Here’s what we know about the Spider-Man sequel starring Tom Holland.

Tony Stark died in Marvel’s blockbuster, ‘Avengers: Endgame’

Even one of the earth’s mightiest heroes could not wield all six infinity stones. To finally save the universe from Thanos and his minions, Tony Stark took the stones during Avengers: Endgame, ending Thanos’ reign with the snap of his fingers. Unfortunately, this character died in the process, with Peter Parker and his aunt attending the private funeral.

Tony Stark was missed by more than just his friends in the Avengers and his immediate family. Even the Midtown School of Science and Technology students put together a presentation regarding this superhero, complete with a Houston classic playing in the background.

The students of Peter Parker’s high school made a video tribute to Tony Stark and the fallen Avengers during ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’

Complete with plenty of still images and fade-in effects, this tribute included photos of the fallen Avengers who helped destroy Thanos. That includes a picture of Natasha Romanoff (also known as Black Widow), Vision, and Peter Parker’s mentor Tony Stark.

It wouldn’t be an emotional tribute without some doves superimposed over the images and Houston’s “I Will Always Love You” playing softly in the background. This was a stark contrast to the introduction of Spider-Man: Homecoming, which featured a fun vlog created by Peter Parker.

In it, the superhero detailed his first experience on a plane and meeting the other Avengers. Tony Stark made a cameo, reassuring Peter Parker’s aunt that he was not fighting crime in a foreign country. (Which, of course, was exactly what Spider-Man was doing.)

It was during Spider-Man: Homecoming that Marvel fans saw Spider-Man and Iron Man’s close relationship developing. That just made Tony Stark’s death in Avengers: Endgame even more heartbreaking for Spider-Man fans. Peter Parker was still dealing with the emotional toll of losing his mentor during his class trip to Europe in the sequel, Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Tom Holland returned as Spider-Man for Marvel’s ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’

Although there were talks of Spider-Man leaving the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Holland returned for a third Spider-Man movie, appearing alongside Zendaya, who portrays MJ. That movie, Spider-Man: No Way Home, premiered on Dec. 17, 2021.

In this recently released production, Spider-Man dealt with the consequences of opening the multiverse. He even got Dr. Strange involved, which further complicated his work-life balance as Peter Parker and New York’s friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.

Spider-Man appeared in other Marvel flicks, including Captain America: Civil War, available on Disney+.
