Tesco has launched new rattan outdoor furniture range to rival Aldi’s – but shoppers are all saying the same thing

TESCO has launched a new rattan outdoor furniture set to rival Aldi's but shoppers are all saying the same thing.

The supermarket's new Mrs Hinch garden range includes a sofa set and an egg chair.

But shoppers have criticised Tesco's price points, with a rattan sofa priced at £475 and the egg chair at £350.

The range also includes a £21 rattan candle holder and a £12 decorative cushion, according to photos shared on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group.

One commenter said the prices are "extortionate" and another said "I literally want to cry, so expensive".

Another shopper joked: "Am I allowed to spend £475 on garden furniture", with their friend responding "oh my goodness, no! You're paying for the name on it".

A third Facebook user said: "It's a bit pricey compared to similar sets around".

But others were fans of the garden furniture despite the prices, saying it's "gorgeous".

Also on offer are decorations starting at £8 and outdoor plants from £12.

Shoppers can pick up the new collection in Tesco Extra stores, and some items are available online.

Homebase is selling a four-seater corner sofa for £295.

Meanwhile, you can pick up a hanging egg chair from Dunelm for £299 – over £100 less than the Mrs Hinch option.

B&M also has the garden chairs in stock, including one for £225 and one for £150.

Shops are stocking more garden furniture as the weather warms up.

Asda is selling a garden fire pit for £20, which is cheaper than Argos and B&Q.

You could also upcycle the furniture you already have to save money this summer.
