Tesco Clubcard points can be used to claim various discount vouchers and treats. Those shopping in stores can get double points but the offer is only available for a limited time.

Tesco shoppers can sign up for the supermarkets loyalty scheme and pick up a Clubcard.

When using the card, customers earn one point for every £1 they spend on groceries and F&F clothing.

They also bank one point for every £2 spent when filling up on fuel.

Those who make a trip to the supermarket today can get double points on their shopping.

How to get double points

The retailer has launched a promotion that allows shoppers to pick up extra points.

Those hoping to bag the deal must act fast as the offer ends today.

Shoppers simply need to scan their card when shopping in stores to earn double points.

The extra points will show up on the card within five to seven days.

Tesco customers who save up points can swap them for vouchers that are available to use in stores.

The Tesco website states: “We turn your points into vouchers to help you save on your weekly groceries, fun days out and much more.”

Every 150 points earned will give shoppers £1.50 towards an in-store voucher.

The supermarket also allows customers to use the vouchers for perks from brands including Pizza Express and Merlin Entertainments.

As well as boosting points, Tesco has recently changed its delivery service for those using the Clubcard Plus scheme.

The service was launched in November last year and costs £7.99 per month.

Shoppers with a membership get benefits including 10 percent off two shops each month.

They will soon be able to benefit from free delivery on all online orders.

Customers who order groceries online currently need to pay a flat rate delivery fee of £4.50.

Those who have a Clubcard Plus subscription will be able to skip this charge as the retailer makes changes to the membership.
