With the return of BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing just a few weeks away , the professional dancers on the show have been giving fans some sneak peeks at their on-screen glam for this season with some behind-the-scenes snaps shared to their social media pages.

Earlier this week, Karen Hauer showcased a very different look as she ditched her trademark blonde crop for a lengthy brunette wig. And now her fellow dancer Oti Mabuse has joined in with the fun and has taken to Instagram sporting a gorgeous retro ‘do.

In a snap shared with her 588K followers, the 31-year-old Strictly pro is seen rocking a big, bouncy, 70s-inspired hairstyle in a caramel blonde shade, with a huge fringe cascading over one side of her face.

“70s are calling,” Oti captions the post.

The picture quickly gained a lot of attention from fans, who flocked to the comment section to shower her with compliments.

“So beautiful,” one person says, as another dubs her an “absolute QUEEN”.

“Farrah Fawcett,” a fourth adds, comparing her to the Charlie’s Angels actress, who sported a similar blown-out hairstyle in the 70s.

Oti tagged the hairstylist responsible for her transformation – Dionne Thomas – who was behind some of the cast members' most iconic hair moments from the last season too.

In the past, the South African-born beauty has taken to the dancefloor rocking everything from braids to 1920s finger waves, and even once an 80s perm.

But it’s not just Oti who’s been serving throwback glamour. Strictly’s other resident hairstylist Lisa Davey has shared some snaps of the other professionals sporting a similar look.

In a series of snaps shared to Lisa’s Instagram account, Katya Jones and Amy Dowden can be seen channeling their inner disco divas with matching lion-esque curls.

“Big Hair Don’t Care,” Lisa captions the post.

The pair teamed their look with flares, platform heels and retro accessories, which surely means there’s a 70s dance number on the horizon.

The popular BBC One show will return to our screens on September 18th. The countdown is on!
