January 2021 marked the unveiling of Snow Peak‘s visually-appealing look book for its SS21 “HOME=CAMP” collection, and just a few weeks removed from this, some of the footwear items from the said-capsule have now finally hit the shelves. Lisa Yamai‘s imprint introduces the Field Trainer Mesh 23 and Field Traction Sandal 23, two silhouettes that are packed with tech-heavy tooling and greyscale complexions.
Leading the way of the launch is Field Trainer Mesh 23 — a low-cut model that is fashioned with a breathable CORDURA mesh neighbored by waterproof cow leather paneling. A duo of buckles bring about technical flair across the bridge of the foot, one of which is closer to the tongues and arrives larger in girth. Below this, a the semi-chunky sole piece features a roll-shaped VIBRAM ROLLINGAIT SYSTEM designed to give wearers a plush ride.
Most folks are spending more time at home nowadays because of the pandemic, so that’s where the Field Traction Sandal 23 can help fill the void of needing a go-to mule. CORDURA mesh and cow leathers are also summoned to form the uppers here, the former being more pronounced. Instead of shoe strings, these easy-on-easy-off kicks feature a webbed lacing system that is adjustable by a toggle. Vibram soles with hiker-style rigged treading finishes off its look underneath.
Both silhouettes are available now in black and grey colorways via Snow Peak, the trainer costing ¥38,000 (approx. $360 USD) while the sandal will run you ¥32,000 (approx. $303 USD).
In case you missed out, Snow Peak also revealed colorful titanium Aurora water bottles.
