Love Island Jake Cornish and Liberty Poole have reportedly walked out of the villa three days before the final after calling time on their seven-week romance.
The 21 year old Birmingham beauty and water engineer Jake, 24, from Weston-Super-Mare, are said to have pulled out of the competition, leaving Chloe Burrows and Toby Aromolaran, Millie Court and Liam Reardon, Faye Winter and Teddy Soares and Kaz Kamwi and Tyler Cruickshank battling it out for the £50,000 prize.
A source told MailOnline: "It was a really tough decision for the couple to make, but it felt like the right thing to do.
"They'd given it their all on camera and wanted to let their friends in other couples have a chance at winning."
However, Liberty and Jake are not the only Love Island contestants to voluntarily leave the villa. Let's take a look at the former Islanders who also packed their bags and left Majorca…
Georgia Steel and Sam Bird
Love Island 2018 stars Georgia, 23, and Sam, 28, were forced to split if they wanted to continue on the show and were trapped in a forbidden love scenario.
The couple decided to stay in the villa and face the 'ultimate test' but all was too much and the pair decided to leave the villa after an 'explosive' re-coupling.
Speaking at the time, a source told The Mirror: "They filmed the recoupling and afterwards Sam and Georgia weren't happy so walked out of the villa."
The gorgeous 2018 star was partnered in a friendship couple with Dr Alex George until Sam Bird walked in to give Samira a shot at finding love.
However there was no romantic spark between the pair and all seemed lost until Frankie Foster arrived.
The former rugby star and Samira hit it off but Frankie was sent packing after he and Grace Wardle were not saved by the public.
Samira was left heartbroken by the shock dumping but decided to 'follow her heart' and leave the villa.
Niall Aslam left the island after nine days in the villa with fellow 2018 contestant Dr Alex breaking the news to the Islanders.
The former reality star, who is an ambassador for the National Autistic Society, took to Instagram to open up on Asperger's Syndrome shortly after his departure.
He penned: "For far too long I have suffered in silence and not acknowledged a massive fact about my life which going into the villa has led me to finally realise and accept.
"I would just like to thank the team at ITV for always backing me and giving me the opportunity to rid my myself of my insecurities and embrace the fact that I am different yet I am still a rainbow fish. I can't explain how grateful I am for the support from the whole team over this period.
"I would also like to thank the British public for the love you have all shown me over the past few weeks, it has been overwhelming.
"Now it's time for this rainbow fish to dive deep into the big blue ocean and show the world what I'm all about – there's more layers to come!"
The 2016 Love Island contestant decided to stay in the villa after her love interest Tom Powell was voted off the island.
Sophie started to see new girl Katie Salmon, which was the first same-sexing paring on the show, but soon realised that her heart was with Tom on the outside.
Speaking in the beach hut, Sophie said: "Guys, I'm going to go. I've been feeling like this for a while. Now, I think my time is done."
Sophie sadly died in June 2018 with her boyfriend Aaron Armstrong passing away just 20 days later.
The blonde beauty, 25, took part in the 2016 series of Love Island and caused a stir when she clicked with Alex Bowen.
Alex and Zara, who was 20 when she appeared on the ITV2 series, spent a steamy night in the Hideaway which led to Zara losing her Miss Great Britain crown.
However the glamorous star left after she decided to spend time with her nearest and dearest when bosses informed her of a family illness.
Speaking at the time, she said: "I'm so sad to leave the villa but it's important for me to get home and spend time with my mum while she gets better."
The Love Island 2016 star found himself in a friendship couple with Olivia Buckland until he hit it off with Rachel Fenton.
The pair had been getting to know each other until Caroline Flack revealed that he and Olivia had shared an intimate moment in bed while Rachel slept nearby.
However Rachel forgave Rykard but the beauty was dumped from the villa.
The personal trainer decided to follow his heart and reunite with Rachel on the outside.
Speaking about his decision, Rykard said: "I decided to leave the villa because at that moment I was developing a really nice relationship with Rachel and watching her walk away, I knew I had the power to stay or go."
Amy Hart quit the show amid her turbulent relationship with Curtis Pritchard ended in heartbreak.
The blonde beauty packed her bags after the Casa Amor twist left Curtis doubting their romance, while Amy had plans to return and tell the dancer she loved him.
Amy told Curtis she was leaving as: “All I’ve ever wanted is for you to be happy and you’re not going to be able to be happy if I’m still here.”
She added: “I had the best four weeks with you and I’m glad it happened….[But] I can’t heal living in the same house as you. The only way we’re gonna be really good mates is if I go.”
