Lidl's wooden toy range is back in stores and prices start from £2

LIDL's popular wooden toy range is back in stores and you can bag a bargain for just £2.

The discount store has unveiled a range of wooden toys including balance bikes, train sets, dolls houses and play kitchens.

Wooden toys can be more sturdy, easier to clean and better for the environment than plastic alternatives.

With Christmas approaching, Lidl has given parents plenty of present options to keep their kids entertained.

Prices range from £1.99 for a playtime wood puzzle to £49.99 for a wooden play kitchen.

There are plenty of toys to feed a child's imagination,.

The range is suitable for babies, toddlers and those age three and over.

Lidl doesn't do online delivery but you can see the range online and see what is available by using its store finder.

The supermarket has said some of the products have been delayed and others are only available while stocks last, so you may need to act fast.

Don't forget to shop around using tools such as Google Shopping and PriceSpy to make sure you are getting a good deal.

The highlight of the range is Lidl's colourful Play Kitchen, which features a mini fridge, oven and microwave for just £49.99.

In comparison, a wooden kitchen from Ikea could cost £60 or as much as £100 from Argos.

For active playtime, Lidl is selling a balance bike for £34.99 suitable for ages two and over.

It features non-slip safety grips and an ergonomic saddle and works out cheap compared with its rival Aldi which is selling a wooden balance bike for £44.99.

Another highlight from the collection is the Wooden Dolls House for £29.99.

It boasts three floors with separate rooms and comes complete with detachable roof panels.

This is a decent price.

In contrast, Argos sells a wooden dolls house for £38.
