Is it just us that’s missing sitting down in front of the tele at 9pm soaking up all the drama and gossip from Love Island? Luckily Netflix has upped its game while it’s been off our screens with some addictive new series.
Well blonde bombshell and former islander Liberty Poole has certainly not been lazing around in bed watching TV like us.
She’s been a seriously busy girl with many brands trying to snap her up with their very own deal, but it was Boux Avenue that managed to pin her down to create her own range of lingerie with them and it is seriously beautiful and sexy – former beau Jake’s jaw will certainly be on the floor when he sees how beautiful she looks!
Her gorgeous collection is all about self love and celebrating you and is designed to suit all body shapes with sizes that go up to a G cup, there’s 15 styles to choose from and all of them are guaranteed to make you look and feel good about yourself and guess what? They’re super affordable too with prices starting from £16.
We caught up with the lovely Liberty to chat about all things Fashion, Dancing On Ice and feeling body confident…
How does it feel to be collaborating with Boux Avenue?
I’ve always wanted my own underwear range, it’s been a dream of mine since I was a teenager. I love everything about Boux Avenue from their underwear to their nightwear so to have a collection with a brand I’ve loved for years is amazing. Boux Avenue shares the same vision as me to be an inclusive brand and promote women feeling confident in their own skin and the underwear they choose. Hence why my new collection will be inclusive and range up to sizes G. As a naturally bigger boob girl myself I’ve struggled to find sexy lingerie in bigger sizes and this collection definitely provides that.
This was your first brand photoshoot since leaving the villa, does it feel surreal? How much has your life changed since leaving Love Island?
It’s a bit surreal going from a Nando’s waitress and student to modelling your own collection with one of your favourite brands – definitely still have pinch me moments but I’ve never felt more myself. I’m still the same old Liberty as before but now I’m trying new things and stepping out of my comfort zone. I’ve never struggled with confidence in terms of my personality, I'm very secure in who I am, however, in the past I’ve struggled with body image and what I look like but when I put on the lingerie on the Boux Avenue shoot, I felt my absolute best.
I bet you had lots of DM’s coming out of the villa – we’re there any famous faces in there?
I’ve had DM’s from people saying how I’ve inspired them which means more to me than any messages from guys at the moment. I’m such a bad replier, I much prefer to talk to someone in person which I don’t have time for at the moment. I'm just happy focusing on myself and I’m sure the right guy will come along when the time's right.
Your Boux Avenue collection is all about ‘self love’, have you always been confident in your own skin?
I’ve had comments throughout my life that knocked my confidence or I’ve been made to feel like I wasn’t good enough or people have labelled me as things I know I’m not. I’ve learned that you shouldn’t seek affirmation or self confidence from other people as confidence is a feeling that comes from within and a feeling only you can choose to have through self love. With this collection I want the women that buy it to feel empowered and sexy when wearing it. Wear this collection for you and no one else .
What's your favourite piece from the collection?
I love all of the collection, each piece brings a different vibe! If I had to choose one, I would probably say the Isra set personally. It’s different and a unique colour as well as a great fit, I just felt amazing when I was shooting in it on set but there’s something for everyone so be sure to take a look.
What kind of lingerie styles do you usually go for?
I love suspenders, I think they are so sexy which is why there are quite a few sets with them in my collection. I also like supportive bras as I’ve got bigger boobs but they still have that sexy element and I think this collection definitely offers that. What I love about Boux avenue underwear is it’s girly and glamorous as well as sexy, it gives you everything!
Was it important for you to consider all body shapes in your collection & how have you done so?
For me, it’s always important to include all body shapes, I believe you should love the skin you were born in – no matter what shape or size you are. My Boux Avenue collection goes up to a G cup, to cater for women with bigger boobs, I hope everyone loves it as much as I do!
Congratulations on your place on Dancing On Ice, what are you looking forward to the most about it? Are you nervous?
I can’t wait to push myself out of my comfort zone with Dancing On Ice. It's definitely going to be challenging but I’m so excited for it. I love ice skating but I’m about as flexible as a wooden stick, so the lifts and technique will be a challenge hopefully I can overcome. Also the glamorous hair and outfits are definitely a bit of me!
What advice would you give your younger self?
To not believe the bad labels or if someone puts you down, know it’s a reflection on them and don’t blame yourself. I used to blame myself for other people's actions and think I wasn’t good enough when you must know your self worth .
Make sure you check out the full range here, it’s seriously beautiful and we can’t wait to try them out ourselves…
