Billie Faiers and Greg Shepherd have ditched the UK for a sunny break in the exotic Maldives with Ferne McCann expected to join them over Christmas.
The stars of the Mummy Diaries invited fans along the way via Billie’s social media channels where she has been sharing plenty of updates.
Posting from the airport, the family vowed that they were off to ‘make some wonderful memories’ on their festive holiday.
Seven-year-old Nellie and four-year-old Arthur looked especially excited to be leaving Essex for the warmer climate of the luxury islands with their cousins.
The family are staying at the 5* Siyam World Maldives resort which boasts itself as "a carefree playground".
Billie, 31, shared a snap of the beach with the caption: “A taxi .. aeroplane and sea plane later … We made it! It was a tough start to the year. Here’s to making many wonderful memories to see the year out. Wishing everyone a lovely Christmas.”
TOWIE cast mate Georgia Kousoulou was among the first to comment, saying: “Aww enjoy” to the picture showcasing the white, sandy beach.
Billie and Greg's 'tough year' has been spent renovating their £1.4 million Essex home, which has been less straightforward than they had hoped when they purchased the property.
The pair, who have openly discussed the various issues they have had with renovations, were delighted upon arriving at the property.
However, they have seen faced major problems with neighbours about planning permission for various changed and updates they intended to make.
In an recent episode of The Mummy Diaries, Billie confided in her close friend Ferne McCann about another major "hiccup" with their ambitious home plans.
Ferne is also planning on joining the family on their holiday and has been asking for recommendations to keep her four year old daughter Sunday entertained on the flight.
This comes after Billie and Greg exclusively opened up to OK! about how their "stressful" house move had understandably led to tension at home.
When asked if they had had any disagreements while filming the series, Billie confessed: "It's a lot of stress. Doing the house renovation is literally a full-time job in itself."
"It's another workload, and it does cause a lot of tension and pressure. The house renovation caused a few rifts between us."
Greg agreed with his wife, adding: "Decisions have to be made, and if you're not making them, there's going to be a backlog with the builder – and this has a knock-on effect. Hence, it causes a row."
But the couple went on to say that they'd made big process with their home and were hoping to move in early next year all being well.
The reality star said: "It's really coming together now. We're probably not going to be in there until February, maybe March, next year."
Billie added: "We went there recently, and for the first time, I felt like we were looking at a home.
"I had that excited feeling. It's been a really long process, but it will be worth it in the end."
