More than half of Brits said they had given up on a holiday abroad this year due to the confusing holiday rules – which has translated to super cheap prices as tour operators attempt to entice people to book.
One of the biggest bargains right now is a 14-night holiday in Greece, staying at a four-star hotel with breakfast and return flights, which will set you back just £194 each, advertised by Holiday Pirates.
Working out to just £13 each per night, the amazingly cheap deal is becoming more common as the travel industry is yet to go back to the same numbers as pre-Covid.
Ryanair has launched a number of flight sales this year, including flights for just £4.99 to Europe hotspots including Spain, while British Airways' latest sale has package holidays for less than £200.
Travelzoo's latest deals include breaks in Portugal, Majorca and Paris from just £79, Thomas Cook deals start from just £105pp in September and a recent study from Which? also found that a holiday abroad is a fraction of a UK break, with some costing nearly £1,800 less.
Of course, the cheap deals come with their own risks – the UK's own traffic light system has caused chaos in recent weeks with countries at risk of being moved from green to amber, resulting in a mandatory quarantine.
Many families have also been forced to fork out hundreds for extra Covid tests, after their own fail to arrive in time for their holiday.
Huge queues at Heathrow, Manchester and Luton have also been seen this week, due to the extra checks required due to Covid as well as short staff due to the pandemic.
