Family seeking chauffeur and chef with joint salary of £130,000

Wealthy family-of-four are seeking a ‘skilled and confident driver’ to earn £46,000 a year working as their private chauffeur in Marbella – and there’s opportunity to travel

High-end UK-based recruitment company Polo & Tweed is seeking an experienced chef and a chauffeur to relocate to Marbella and work in the home of a wealthy family-of-four. 

Salary for the right employees could be up to £46,000 for the family’s chauffeur and over £70,000 for the chef, but the package also includes a generous relocation package – and with weekends off, there is plenty of time for rest and relaxation of your own.

The family are looking for ‘highly discreet and well-mannered’ candidates, with a driver who knows the local area and a chef who is knowledgeable about wine and champagne and can source the family’s favourites.  

High-end UK-based recruitment company Polo & Tweed is seeking an experienced chef and a chauffeur to relocate to Marbella and work in the home of a wealthy family of four

The family are a couple – who have a nine-month-old baby and mother-in-law – who work from home and run a successful business in the UK but live in Spain – however, successful candidates will be required to travel occasionally.  

Working hours for both positions are five days per week with at least two days off each week. Hours for the chauffeur are flexible and journeys will be arranged in advance.

The chef will have weekends off and will work 12pm – 8pm each day, cooking lunch and dinner with otherwise hours are flexible. Both candidates should speak good English. 

The chauffeur should be a skilled and confident driver who knows the local area. Duties will include airport runs and pickups, taking the client to meetings, and running errands and other duties required by the employers.

One essential attribute is having a ‘hands-on approach’, with the family keen to hire someone with a ‘willingness to get involved in duties as required, with a strong personal presentation and discretion.’ 

The family also stressed that the successful candidate must: ‘understand the importance of privacy and discretion.

The chosen chef will be highly skilled and able to comply with all Hygiene, Health & Safety Legislation requirements.

The job description reads: ‘You should be comfortable in a family setting and be highly discreet and well mannered. 

‘You should have knowledge about Wine & Champagne and be able to source the products the family like (including high-quality coffee).’

Responsibilities include the planning, preparation and cooking of daily meals as well as monitoring and replenishing food supplies and equipment for the household. 

The chef will also maintain cleanliness of the kitchen – cleanings all surfaces and floors after use, keeping pots, pans and all work surfaces well cleaned and polished and ensuring ovens and refrigerators are clean and out-of-date items are discarded. 

On the day-to-day basis the chef will prepare lunch and dinner for the family and occasionally for guests too – with a range of cuisines including French and seafood.
