Britney Spears is ready to speak for herself, her attorney said at a court hearing on Tuesday.

“The conservatee has requested that I seek from the court a status hearing at which she can address the court directly,” Sam Ingham III told Judge Brenda Penny.

While Ingham did not disclose the specific matters that Britney, 39, would like to address, the attorney shared the hearing would pertain to the “status of the conservatorship.”

“My client asked that it be done on expedited basis,” Ingham added, emphasizing the urgency with which Britney would like to appear before the court.

Because of this request for the pop star to appear in court within a 30 day window, Judge Penny set this status hearing for June 23 at 1:30 p.m. PT at Stanley Mosk Courthouse.

Other matters pertaining to today’s hearing — regarding the estate’s accounting documents — were pushed back to a separate July 14 court date.

Britney’s upcoming court appearance will be the first time in recent years the pop star has stood before the court.

Earlier this month, Britney shared with concerned fans on Instagram that she is “extremely happy and “totally fine.”

I have a beautiful home, beautiful children,” said Spears, who shares sons, Jayden James , 14, and Sean Preston, 15, with ex-husband Kevin Federline. “I’m taking a break right now because I’m enjoying myself.”
