A seven-year-old boy has captured the feelings of a nation.
The primary school kid was given a homework assignment, which involved writing about what he was getting up to.
So in a notebook, he jotted down his feelings about studying over Zoom.
The young writer said: "Boring online school. Today is just another day in a long line of days staring at a dumb screen.
"Just boring boring online school, that's the only thing that did happen. It's the only thing that is happening, that's the only thing that will happen."
The boy’s guardian Julia shared a picture of the homework piece on Twitter – and it garnered more than 148,000 likes.
Many resonated with the post, with one commenter writing: “This seven-year-old: A) utilises repetition effectively to emphasise his purpose.
“B) Makes a relatable statement and C) ends with a rhetorical progression of verb tense in comedic triples to solidify his stance.
“This is actual creative writing an should be encouraged.”
And another said: “I was going to say. This is low key a work of art.”
Others felt very sorry for the boy and hope he’s feeling OK during the coronavirus pandemic.
Thankfully, Julia reassured he’s doing just fine.
She added: “A lot of you seem very worried about him. I promise he’s healthy and very loved and this is a rough time for everyone.
“We’re both having lots of fun reading all your little takes on his poem…
“He has a breadth of hobbies and interests and is a brilliant, deliberate and prolific writer.”
