Balenciaga Expands “The Lost Tape” With Fall 2022 Campaign

Still reigning as one of the world’s hottest brands, Balenciaga unveiled its new Fall 2022 campaign. The new campaign expands on “The Lost Tape” theme that encapsulated the brand’s ’90s-inspired collection.

Specifically, the theme champions fashion ideas of this period while presenting “a message from the past about what could have been and never was.” The new campaign is the first iteration of a multi-part campaign and includes singer Aya Nakamura, in addition to models Bella Hadid, Kit Butler, Zuo Chen, Abdou Diop, Inti Wang and Lina Zhang. Photographed by British artist Nadia Lee Cohen, the images channel the alluring and sensual styles of early ’90s advertising.

Showcased in the campaign are forthcoming pieces like three-piece jeans, robe coats, shrunken tops, distressed trench coats, low-rise pants and more. Complimenting collection garments are pieces like the Crocs Bag, XX Bag, Hourglass Bag, Excavator Boot, Kensington Mule, Five-pocket Pantaboots, an array of jewelry and more.
