Lynda Carter, 69, who is best known for her role as Diana Price otherwise known as Wonder Woman in the 1970s television series, took to Instagram to share her husband of 37 years, Robert A Altman, had died a week ago. The cause of his death was reportedly complications from a medical procedure.

In view of her 191,000 Instagram followers, the Wonder Woman actress paid tribute to her other half in a heartfelt post.

Lynda penned: “One week ago, my beloved husband Robert A. Altman passed away.

“Robert is the love of my life and he always will be.”

She continued: “Our 37 years of marriage were an extraordinary gift. We shared the passion I hope everyone is lucky enough to experience in their lifetime.

“We protected each other and were each other’s champions always.”

Lynda added: “We have always been grateful for the two beautiful lives we created together: our children, Jessica and James.

“They are the lights of my life, and were the greatest joy of Robert’s. I see so much of Robert in them, and I know he lives on through them.

“To all the fans who have shared their condolences, Jessica, James, and I want to say thank you.

“We especially love hearing about the times you met Robert at concerts or through his work in the gaming world. He loved meeting you and hearing your stories.”

And she shared a special note for her late husband: “You are the most honorable person that I have ever had the privilege to know.

“And I got to be your wife and the mother of your children. Thank you for giving me all the love in my life.”

Lynda finished with: “Nothing could prepare our family for this moment, but we will do our best to follow our dreams and honour the legacy you’ve left behind. I will love you always and forever.”

Robert, who was the CEO and chairman of the video game holding company ZeniMax Media, reportedly died on February 3 at a Baltimore hospital.

The news of his death comes just a week after Lynda praised her other half in a sweet anniversary post.

The couple, who tied the knot in 1984, welcomed two children together; Jessica, 27, and James, 33.

Sharing a black and white photo of Robert planting a kiss on Lynda’s cheek, the actress penned: “Remembering all those moments at the airport when we were living thousands of miles apart, travelling across the country to be together so many years ago.

“After 37 years, I’m still thankful to wake up next to you each day. Happy Anniversary, my love.”

Speaking of the loss of his dad, son James shared: “He was fiercely loyal to his friends, and had a way of connecting with people instantly.

“Inspiring them, getting the best out of them, and often teaching them with his seemingly endless wisdom.”

Lynda starred in Wonder Woman, which was based on the DC Comics book of the same name, from 1975 to 1979.
