The Cure recently released an upgraded HD version of their 1991 documentary Play Out, coinciding with the 30th anniversary of the 1992 album Wish.
The new two-hour and 15-minute behind-the-scenes documentary follows the band at club shows, headlining Wembley Arena, on MTV Unplugged and triumph in the Best British Group category at the BRITs.
Directed by Peter Fowler, the documentary can be watched on YouTube.
“Play Out follows the band as they perform new songs at a club gig, play Wembley Arena, appear on the Jonathan Ross show, rehearse for and perform their legendary MTV Unplugged show and receive the award for Best British Group at The Brit Awards,” a synopsis reads.
Released on October 7, the reissue comprises 45 songs, including the original track list remastered by front man Robert Smith and Miles Showell, and 24 previously-unreleased tracks.
