Taylor Swift has called on her fans to make “social sacrifices” to be safe in the wake of coronavirus outbreak.
“I love you guys so much and need to express my concern that things aren’t being taken seriously enough right now,” Swift said on Instagram on Sunday.
She started her message by saying, “We need to be vigilant and care for those more vulnerable if not for ourselves.”
“I’m seeing lots of get togethers and hangs and parties still happening. This is the time to cancel plans, actually truly isolate as much as you can, and don’t assume that because you don’t feel sick that you aren’t possibly passing something on to someone elderly or vulnerable to this”, the 30 year-old singer-songwriter added.
“It’s a really scary time but we need to make social sacrifices right now,” according to Swift.
In an effort to encourage social distancing to prevent the outbreak of coronavirus, several states in the U.S. ordered all bars, restaurants and other public places to close down.
