Prince Philip, the husband of Queen Elizabeth, was admitted to the private King Edward VII Hospital on Tuesday evening (February 16) in London, England.
“The Duke’s admission is a precautionary measure, on the advice of His Royal Highness’s Doctor, after feeling unwell. The Duke is expected to remain in hospital for a few days of observation and rest,” an official statement read (via Reuters).
The 99-year-old royal has been admitted to the hospital several times over the years, including in 2011 for a blocked artery, 2012 for a bladder infection, and as recently as 2019 when he was hospitalized before Christmas.
The last time we saw Prince Philip was back in July when he made a rare public appearance.
We are wishing Prince Philip well and hope he makes a quick recovery!
